Java Unit Testing Made Simple
by: John Mullins
Unit testing is your first line of defense in eliminating code defects in order to deliver high-quality code in a timely fashion and with minimum cost. One way to accomplish Java unit testing is with the JUnit open-source framework which provides the toolset you need to make unit testing fast, thorough, and repeatable.
In this webinar, John Mullins of Themis will walk through and demonstrate the steps necessary to create JUnit test cases and test suites using Eclipse. A test case is characterized by a known input and an expected output, which is worked out before the test is executed. The known input should test a precondition and the expected output should test a post-condition. The framework provided by JUnit includes annotations to identify test methods and provides assertions for testing expected results.
This webinar is a great way to prepare for taking the Introduction to Java Part 2 five day class from Themis.
